Signatures Aboard Ducasse sur Seine : A Wine Journey Along the Seine

October 2026

Signatures aboard de Ducasse sur Seine

Aboard our boat, the invitation to travel is ever-present. From September to December 2026, Ducasse sur Seine presents a special experience: with Signatures, we invite you each month to discover three wines from the same appellation and explore their distinctive expressions. Selected by Bernard Neveu, Corporate Head Sommelier of Maison Ducasse Paris, these twelve wines take you on a journey through France’s wine regions, revealing the subtle nuances of their terroirs. Enjoy them by the glass, carafe or bottle, or as part of a wine-tasting flight, during a peaceful cruise aboard our 100% electric restaurant boat, with Paris’s iconic landmarks as your backdrop.

September : Setting sail for Sancerre

From the Seine to the Loire, it’s just a short journey… In September, we take you to the Sancerre region to discover three distinct terroirs within this appellation in the Cher department. Our first stop is Crézancy-en-Sancerre, with Pascal Jolivet’s Clos du Roy 2025, a Sauvignon Blanc grown on clay-limestone soils. In Bué, we change colour with Vincent Pinard’s Charlouise 2023, a red Sancerre made from Pinot Noir. Finally, we head to Chavignol and its renowned Côte des Monts Damnés, where Henri Bourgeois produces a 2022 white Sancerre.

The contrast between the two Sauvignon Blancs is what makes this tasting so fascinating: Crézancy and Chavignol are only a few kilometres apart, yet each terroir gives the grape variety a distinctive expression. In between, the Pinot Noir from Bué reminds us that Sancerre also has a remarkable red side.

October : A stopover in Saint-Émilion

In October, we move to a new region and adopt a different approach. Our gastronomic cruises celebrate Saint-Émilion through three wines from the same estate: Château Angelus. The tasting begins with N°3 d’Angelus 2023, followed by Carillon d’Angelus 2018 and Château Angelus 2017. Three red wines, three vintages and, above all, three different expressions of the same winemaking expertise.

We invite you to explore these similarities and differences in the glass: what connects the three cuvées to the same estate, but also what gives each its own distinctive character. With Signatures, Saint-Émilion is revealed through one of the defining features of Bordeaux red wines: the blending of Merlot and Cabernet varieties, whose proportions help shape the identity of each cuvée. A delightful opportunity to compare these wines while admiring the iconic landmarks of Paris!

November: Setting sail for Châteauneuf-du-Pape

In November, our cruise takes you from the banks of the Seine to those of the Rhône, with a stopover in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Within this single appellation lies a remarkable diversity of soils: the famous rounded pebbles are complemented by sandy and limestone terroirs. Bernard Neveu has selected three wines to help you appreciate this diversity throughout your meal.

The journey begins with Domaine de Cristia’s Le Classique 2022, a red wine. With Julien Masquin’s L’Intimiste 2023, we then invite you to discover a less expected expression of the appellation: a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, before returning to red with Château de Beaucastel 2022. Three distinctive expressions of an appellation whose character cannot be defined by a single colour or soil type. This is precisely what the tasting reveals as you cruise along the Seine.

December : Final stop in the Côte de Beaune

In December, our journey comes to an end in Burgundy, with a three-stop exploration of the Côte de Beaune. We begin with a red wine, Antonin Guyon’s Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Goudelettes 2022, before moving on to two whites: Joseph Pascal’s Puligny-Montrachet 2023, followed by Louis Latour’s Corton-Charlemagne 2019.

Here, every origin matters, and the precision of winemaking reflects the unique character of each terroir. For the Corton-Charlemagne, this precision is expressed through traditional fermentation in oak barrels, followed by eight to ten months of barrel ageing. From Pinot Noir to two distinctive expressions of Chardonnay, we invite you to explore these wines in sequence rather than tasting them in isolation. It is also another way to discover Burgundy: taking the time to appreciate the aromas, savour each wine and revisit your first impressions, while the lights of Paris glide past the panoramic windows.

Experience Signatures aboard Ducasse sur Seine

On board, the Signatures experience unfolds at the pace of your meal. Each month, three wines are available by the 12 cl glass, 45 cl carafe or 75 cl bottle. You can also enjoy them as a tasting flight of three 8 cl glasses. This option allows you to directly compare the different expressions of a single appellation, while our sommeliers guide you through the wines and answer your questions.

The selection changes every month: Sancerre in September, Saint-Émilion in October, Châteauneuf-du-Pape in November, and finally the Côte de Beaune in December. Another reason to return on board, discover our menus and continue exploring France’s finest wine regions along the Seine, whether during a romantic cruise in Paris or by privatising our boat.
